For more than 40 years French company Lucas G produces reliable and competitive equipment for livestock production. The representative of the company in CIS countries Florean Blanc arrived to Belarus to create a dealers network.
Florean Blanc told AGRONEWS about innovative agricultural French machinery that can become an irreplaceable assistant for any cattle breeder.
— Mister Blanc, what does Lucas G specialize in?
— In France livestock production is concentrated exactly in the west of the country. In the heart of this region Lucas G creates high-productive equipment which suits all requirements of modern economy. The entity is located near the city of Nantes. The company possesses two small plants where more than 150 people work. The company is among the largest producers of France on straw-blowers, cattlefeeders, straw bedders and silage loaders. Lucas G machines are used to prepare and distribute forages, create beddings from straw and distribute it.
— Why did you decide to create a dealers network in Belarus?
— It is interesting for us to develop business in Belarus. For Lucas G it is a new market. We have already become a leader in France selling such products as self-propelled cattlefeeders. About 75% of agricultural machinery is sold in our country, and other 25% – in other countries with developed livestock production. Lucas G develops well on Belgian, Czech, Spanish, German and British markets. However we only began to discover Eastern Europe for ourselves.
— For whom Lucas G equipment is intended?
— Our machines can be suitable for all . The company can adapt to different conditions. It is necessary to consider features of the specific country only. For example, in France there are very few large-scaleenterprises therefore the equipment is on sale for small farms where there are no more than 100 cows. In Russia it is absolutely different: entities have over 1500 heads.
— How do you think, do you have competitors in Belarus?
— In Belarus totally other equipment is made. It is very difficult to compare "Hozyain" and Lucas G. I can tell so: who wants quality, that person chooses Lucas G. It is real equipment, not just a piece of metal.
— What last industrial know-how can you tell us about?
— Lucas G follows all innovations. Two years before we introduced I-RON MIX SYSTEM- self-feeding robots for cattle feeding equipped with an automated system of power supply. In France several units of this equipment already work – and it is quite successful. For such a small company as Lucas G, it is quite an interesting product. The important fact is that robots allow to adapt the diet for each group of cows, even for an absolutely tiny group.
Also it is worth allocating a line of Spirmix -cattlefeeders in which the industrial know-how is realized, namely: for an instant fodder mixing the bunker rides with expansion to top, and the vertical auger with different gaps between rounds allows mixing and fluffing carefully forage for animals.
— Call main, in your opinion, benefits of Lucas G equipment,please?
— We have really narrow specialization. We create equipment only for livestock production. The company has wide experience and knowledge in production of cattlefeeders and straw blowers. The concept of machines was developed about 30 years ago. Lucas G equipment is intended for trouble-free operations, thanks to the safety margin. For example, the design of Spirmix cattlefeeders is arranged so that each auger is adapted for intensive work and is protected by a shear bolt that provides long-term service of this mechanism.
— What Lucas G product line can be interesting for Belarusian landowners?
— Farmers shall pay special attention to C-Kator straw blower-grinder. This machine is equipped with the patented crushing mechanism which can be adapted for any needs. The anticutting bar and crushing camera form the additional node guaranteeing crushing from 4 to 15 cm. This node is controlled manually or by means of hydraulics from a cabin of the tractor. Process of crushing amplifies the effect of scissors created by 8 smooth turbines knives. By the way, it is possible to use C-Kator in poultry farming, in livestock production, and even in crop production. All this is thanks to the big range of crushing. In Belarus LLC European Agricultural Agency will be engaged in sale of such machines. Shortly modern Lucas G agricultural machinery will become available also on Belarusian market.
— What is your opinion about Belarus?
— When I lived in France and didn't expect that I will work in CIS countries, I knew that there are good tractors and potatoes grow in Belarus. But, I think, here there are many more things to learn about. Therefore I came to check it myself.
