The prices for other dairy products, except for powdered skim milk grew. Experts of European Commission believe that increase in prices for butter can cause its substitution in consumption of vegetable fats again.
In the EU resources of the powdered skim milk which was purchased since 2015, are about 360 thousand tons.
In export of dairy products in global scale positive tendencies are still observed. Export of powdered skim milk in seven months of 2017 in comparison with the same period of 2016 grew by 39%. In July export of butter from the EU to the USA grew by 56% , The Dairy News report says.
In the world in dairy products import China is still leading. It has increased butter import volumes by 7%, cheese — for 21%, powdered skim milk — for 25%. Other main importers — Russia, Japan, Algeria continue to increase their volumes.
