DairyNews has prepared the world rating by the number of cows per km2 of the area of the country. Basic data was taken from Russian Dairy Research Center (RDRC) and analytical network IFCN.

According to the list, the biggest density of cows is observed in the Netherlands where there are 41,96 heads of cattle per km2 on average. Also "densely populated" countries are such small territories as Malta and Luxembourg but as well as such large states like India (39,91 cows  per km2).

By the way, Belarus stays ahead of Israel in the rating (the world leader in milk yield) with 7,24 cows per km2, has the 27th place.

Russia is placed on the 100th place out of 109 (that is not a surprise for the biggest country in the world) with  0,26 cows per km2  — as much as there are in Iceland.
