Zeppelin CAT, German dealer of Caterpillar company, reported about creation of an electric version of Holder B12 tractor. The two-stroke diesel engine capacity of 12 hp will be replaced with a modern electric motor with capacity of 13 kW with transmission.
A diesel version of the tractor could only achieve maximum speed around 6 km/h, and the electric model can "speed up" to 40 km/h. Fuel tank and exhaust system were replaced with the accumulator with 9,2 kWh. Yo will need only about 3,5 hours to charge it.
The electric model of the tractor will be named E-Tractor.The project is a result of cooperation with German company eCap Mobility which specializes in transfering of various cars to electric drive since 2015.
