Breeding company OZblu has set a world record which is included into The Guinness Book of Records. The largest blueberry in the world weights 12,39 grams.
"It is important to remember that the size is not the most important in berry breeding. We tend to become the best on blueberry market and it means that taste, juiciness and marketability are also our priorities. Our breeders wanted to create a huge berry and have achieved amazing result" Roger Horak, co-founder and global CEO of OZblu reports.
Record-holder blueberry is a result of work of Dave and Leasa Mazzardis, breeders who work hard to create juicy, fragrant, transportable and large varieties.
OZblu continues to expand and invest in blueberry plantations. In 2018 the company starts an innovative joint project in North and South America. "It is a tremendous year for our company. Thanks to new entry in The Guinness Book of Records we will continue to grow and become stronger" Roger Horak adds.
